Rekeying an Anderson Door Lock. Anderson doors are becoming very popular for Residential exterior doors and patio doors. The residential doors and patio doors are typicaly sold at your local Home Hardware stores (Home Depot etc.). The cylinder at first glance appears to be an “Euro” style lock but when you remove the Escutcheon Bolts (screws) from the interior of the lock Escutcheon trim plate and the Cylinder Mounting Bolts (screws), remove the “Limiting Plate” and the “Lock Assembly” reveals a regular Key-in-Knob cylinder (KIK cyl). Rekey as you would any regular KIK cyl. The most popular keyway is the Schlage SC1. The mortise lock appears to be manufactured by ASSA and is supplied in two different styles 1) Single Point Mortice Lock and 2) Multi-Point Mortice Lock.
